About

David was born and educated in Bradford, Yorkshire. He trained as a commercial artist and illustrator while studying part-time at Bradford Regional College of Art. He returned to this work after National Service as a map reproduction artist in the Middle East.

In 1969 he moved to Bristol and subsequently, after studying Art and Design full-time, became a teacher in Berkshire.

He has exhibited at the Royal Institute of Painters in Oils, the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, the Singer & Friedlander/Sunday Times Water Colour competition, all at the Mall Galleries and the Spink Gallery with the Newbury Spring Festival.
He has had a number of one-man and joint exhibitions and has works in collections in U.K, Ireland, France, Italy, Australia, Canada, Poland, Brazil and Singapore.
